  2. Through the Civil Court – especially for immoveable property (land, house) or in case NADRA refuses or is unavailable in your area.

✅ 1. PROCEDURE TO GET SUCCESSION CERTIFICATE FROM NADRA:

Applicable Law: NADRA Succession Certificate Act, 2021

✔ Eligibility:

  • Legal heirs of a deceased Pakistani national
  • Deceased must have passed away in Pakistan
  • Death Certificate is available

✔ Required Documents:

  1. CNIC of deceased
  2. Death certificate
  3. CNICs of all legal heirs
  4. Family registration certificate (FRC)
  5. Heirship details (NADRA verification)
  6. Details of the moveable assets (bank accounts, vehicles, shares, etc.)

✔ Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Visit NADRA Succession Facilitation Unit (SFU) – set up in selected cities.
  2. Submit Application – Provide deceased’s details, heirship info, and asset details.
  3. Biometric Verification – All legal heirs must appear for biometric verification.
  4. Public Notice – NADRA publishes a public notice in newspapers.
  5. Objection Window – If no objections are received within 14 days, NADRA issues the certificate.

Applicable Law: Succession Act, 1925

✔ Jurisdiction:

File before the District Judge in the civil court where the deceased ordinarily resided or where property is situated.

✔ Required Documents:

  1. CNIC & Death Certificate of deceased
  2. CNICs of legal heirs
  3. Details of assets (bank, property, shares, vehicles)
  4. Relationship proof (FRC or other)
  5. Affidavit of legal heirs
  6. No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from other heirs
